Good day raiders! Bran and Aldo are busy preparing strategies, Toppy has been hard at work filling the guild bank, and you lovely lot have been getting your gear ready.
Now it’s time to familiarise yourelves with bosses, and what's expected when you raid with EoM. Yes bosses will be explained, but it makes life so much easier if everyone has an idea of what’s going on, and visualising them in videos is easily the best way to do that.
Our kill order will be as follows:
- Fetid Devourer
(4) and (5) may be switched around
How do you get there?
Uldir is in the centre of Nazmir. Get there either via Nesingwary’s Gameland and glide directly in, or run from Zul’jan Ruins.
Video to help you find it here:
Bonus rolls are back, and you need Seal of Wartorn Fate to use them. These can be purchased (two per week) from an NPC called Zurvan in our Horde City, here:
Wowhead has detailed tactics for each boss, including tips for specific roles (Tank, Healer, DPS), so it’s well worth reading them along with watching the Fatboss videos. All of which are here: https://www.wowhead.com/guides/uldir-raid-survival-guide
I've also updated the Boss Tactics section of this website to include some more links of tactics and pictures of strategies from Reddit - https://www.essenceofmercy.com/bosstactics

Food/Feasts - The guild will provide feasts, but please also bring your own food as backup. We may elect not to waste a feast if we are learning a tricky boss.
Flasks – Please bring your own, we will eventually provide cauldrons, but it requires a very high alchemist, and we aren’t quite there yet.
Potions – Please bring your own. We adopt pre-potting in our raids, which means you chug a potion just before the pull, and another during the fight. This means you get the benefit of using two potions during each fight. So bring plenty!
Runes – You should also bring your own Runes to increase your primary stat, though they won’t be necessary for Normals, so don’t worry about these just yet.
Behaviour during the raid
Talking - On boss pulls, only the Raid Officer, and Raid Leader should be talking, unless raiders are specifically asked to call certain things. Yes that includes me, and yes it’s really hard! :) Even on trash, there may be certain tactics involved, so whilst it’s fine to have a general chat, be aware that Bran or Aldo will be talking and if you miss what they are saying then we wipe on trash, and that’s not what any of us want!
Tactics - Whilst you may have the best idea ever about how to defeat a boss, please don’t post it in chat or talk about it on Discord, instead just send a brief whisper to the Raid Leader so he can consider it. That’s not because we’re elitist scum, it’s just to stop everyone getting confused about what tactic we are going to employ. Else we run the risk of “Oh I thought we were going to do what X said to do”. We tend not to change tactics all the time unless something really isn't working. Just do what Bran and Aldo tell you, and all will be fine :)
Enchanting – Your new piece has dropped, you want to enchant it. Do it during a break, check the guild bank, or ask a guildie. But please don’t hold up the raid cos you want an enchant, it’s not that vital for Normal difficulty.
Transmog – I haz a new piece but I don’t look as pretty now. This ain't no fashion contest! We will never pause a raid for transmogging. Do it during the break if you must.
Getting told off – Aldo/Bran will tell you if you mess up. Deal with It :) We won’t be nasty about it, but if it’s the 5th time in a row then it might be pretty brusque. We’ve all done it, we’ve all been on the receiving end of a self-induced “Oh shit” moment, but it passes. We aren’t mythic raiders, nor do we have that mentality, we ALL mess up! Including Aldo and Bran! :) So long as you listen and learn then all is well.
DPS meters – Please don’t post DPS meters, please don’t brag about your amazing DPS. A bit of banter is absolutely fine, but keep it in check.
Now that's all out the way with - let's have some fun, drop some bosses and get some gear!
